Rockshana Desances a former cheerleader for the U.S.A Ski Championship team, Exhibit M and a Forever Dangerous dancer has been dancing for several years. After moving to Colorado, Rockshana performed for the Elitch Gardens 2013 summer season as a dancer with Silvertree Producation. Rockshana's dance training began in Norwalk CT where she took classes in ballet, modern, tap, lyrical, contemporary, musical theater and hip hop. Rockshana was on the studios competitive team which allowed her to perform and compete in different states. Rockshana began instructing soon after her first year of dance. Rockshana has earned her B.F.A in Dance from Long Island University Post where she began her studies in African dance and the Djembe drum. Having the opportunity to be a member of the Post Concert Dance Company has lead Rockshana to work with numerous choreographers such as Patricia Kenny Reilly, Michael Leon Thomas, Jenna Riegel, Fatamia Logan and many more. The Post Concert Dance Company also gave her the opportunity to choreograph for the company "Diversity" production. As a solo performer Rockshana has gotten the opportunity to feature a self-choreographed piece with Bala Sole Dance Company, as well as a solo and duet piece at Raw Denver. Rockshana has a strong passion for dance which allows her to offer workshops, present choreography and perform in many different genres of dance.
